Emma Green Celebrant

This week I had the absolute pleasure of officiating a wonderfully joyful home leg wedding for Liz and Ira at the beautiful Lion and Swan in Congleton. It was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love being a Congleton wedding celebrant, heartfelt, playful, and full of genuine love.

Liz and Ira had already said their legal “I dos” during a summer wedding in Bermuda, but this celebration was all about bringing the magic home and sharing it with the people who mean the most to them. Their story began back in October 2020, when Liz moved to Bermuda, and from that moment on, they’ve been completely inseparable.

From the very start of the ceremony, the room was buzzing with excitement. Liz made an unforgettable entrance, resplendent in black lace, walking up the aisle to A Thousand Years played live on violin by the fabulous Joel Grainger. It was one of those moments where everything just felt right, intimate, emotional, and utterly them. As a Congleton wedding celebrant, moments like this are everything.

Waiting at the front was Ira, looking incredible in a sequinned tux. When Liz reached him, they locked eyes and barely looked away for the rest of the ceremony except when Liz got the giggles during the vows, which was both adorable and completely on brand for this fun loving couple. Their relationship is full of laughter, warmth, and goofiness and the ceremony reflected that perfectly.

The guests were an absolute dream. Everyone in the room was completely up for fun and made the best audience ever. You could genuinely feel how much love and admiration there was for Liz and Ira, the kind of crowd that laughs loudly, listens deeply, and celebrates with their whole hearts. Creating that kind of atmosphere is a big part of my role as a Congleton wedding celebrant.

The Lion and Swan was the perfect setting for this celebration, elegant, welcoming and ideal for a relaxed but meaningful wedding ceremony. I had the most fun day officiating Liz and Ira’s wedding, and I can’t wait to return to the Lion and Swan for more weddings in 2026. Days like this are why I’m so proud to be a Congleton wedding celebrant.

If you’re planning a wedding in Cheshire and want a ceremony that’s personal, joyful and full of heart, I’d love to chat. Being a Congleton wedding celebrant means creating ceremonies that feel truly you, laughter, love, giggles and all.
