June is Pride Month, and this year it feels more important than ever to celebrate and show support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
At a time when many people are feeling uncertainty about the future, Pride remains a powerful reminder that love, authenticity and community matter. It is a celebration of people being able to live openly, love freely and be recognised for who they truly are.
As an LGBT celebrant, I have the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their unique stories. Every couple, individual and family deserves to feel seen, respected and celebrated. Whether it is a wedding, naming ceremony, gender affirmation ceremony or celebration of life, every ceremony should reflect the people at its heart.
Pride Month is about joy, visibility and solidarity. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the challenges that many LGBTQIA+ people still face. Creating inclusive spaces, listening to lived experiences and standing up for equality are important all year round, not only in June.
Being an LGBT celebrant means creating ceremonies where people can show up as their authentic selves. It means ensuring that language is inclusive, stories are honoured and every person feels welcome. For many people, finding an LGBT celebrant who understands their experiences can make a meaningful difference to how comfortable and supported they feel throughout the planning process.
Love comes in many wonderful forms, and every love story deserves to be celebrated. Pride reminds us that diversity enriches our communities and that everyone should have the freedom to express their identity without fear or judgement.
As an LGBT celebrant, I am proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month and throughout the year. Inclusion is not a seasonal commitment. It is an ongoing promise to create ceremonies that reflect love, identity, belonging and connection.
If you are looking for an LGBT celebrant for a wedding, naming ceremony, gender affirmation ceremony or another meaningful life event, I would be honoured to help create a ceremony that feels genuinely and authentically yours.
Happy Pride Month to everyone celebrating. May it be filled with love, acceptance, visibility and joy. 🌈❤️
