Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in the most magical Derbyshire wedding styled shoot at the stunning Shottle Hall. From the moment I arrived, I could tell it was going to be something truly special, a day filled with creativity, laughter, and that unmistakable wedding day sparkle!
The theme was celestial romance, and every tiny detail shimmered with cosmic inspiration. The room, beautifully styled by Dreamgif2you Event Styling, was nothing short of breathtaking. Think soft candlelight, deep midnight blues, glimmers of gold, and ethereal touches that made the space feel like we were celebrating among the stars. The elegant stationery, created by Signed by Jen, tied everything together perfectly with dreamy celestial motifs and delicate lettering, the kind that makes you stop and admire before even opening the envelope!
Our stunning models, Nancy and Kobe from Unveiledglambynancy, were styled by the ever-talented Jessica Copeland MUA and Bridal by Tania. The gowns from Prestige Bridal Studio flowed like starlight, while the sharp tailoring from The Suit Lounge brought sophistication and balance to the look. Finishing touches came courtesy of Sixpence in Her Shoe, whose accessories added just the right amount of shimmer and sparkle.
Then it was over to me, your friendly neighbourhood celebrant! ✨ I had the honour of conducting a romantic mock ceremony, complete with a sand ceremony that brought a few happy “aww”s from the crowd, and a traditional handfasting that felt truly magical. It’s moments like these that remind me why I adore what I do, celebrating love, connection, and individuality in every form.
After the ceremony, we raised a glass (or two!) with the most delicious cocktails and mocktails, beautifully crafted by Midbarsol. And we couldn’t resist a slice of the stunning vegan cake by Jojo’s Vegan Bakery, honestly, it was the most delicious chocolate cake I have ever tasted!
The entire day was captured beautifully by Liva Paseka Photography, who also organised the event with her incredible vision, and by Bb7 Videography, who made sure not a single laugh, smile, or sparkle was missed. Their teamwork and attention to detail were phenomenal, I can’t wait to see the final photos and video!
