Recently I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest on a celebrant podcast, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish.
The episode was hosted by the wonderful team at The Added Extra, a Congleton based business that specialises in wedding and event hire. Their podcast is all about helping couples plan memorable celebrations, so it felt like the perfect place to talk about what I do as a celebrant.
A Warm Welcome from the Hosts
From the moment we started recording, hosts Isla and Paul made me feel completely at ease. Being interviewed can sometimes feel a little daunting, but they created such a relaxed atmosphere that the conversation flowed naturally.
They were genuinely interested in the work I do and asked thoughtful questions, not only their own, but also questions sent in by listeners. It made the whole celebrant podcast feel more like a friendly chat than a formal interview.
Talking About Celebrant Led Weddings
During the episode we explored why more and more couples are choosing celebrant led ceremonies. For many couples, the ceremony is the most meaningful part of their wedding day, and a celebrant allows them to shape it in a way that truly reflects their relationship.
On the celebrant podcast, we talked about:
• Why celebrant-led weddings are becoming so popular
• What makes these ceremonies feel so personal and memorable
• The many ways a ceremony can be tailored to a couple’s story
• How symbolic moments, humour and heartfelt storytelling can transform a ceremony
It was a joy to share how couples can move beyond the traditional format and create something that genuinely feels like them.
