Emma Green Celebrant

When couples start planning their wedding, one of the very first decisions they make is the date. And for many people, that choice carries a lot more meaning than simply what is available at the venue.

So what matters most to you?

Is it important that the date you get married is significant sentimental or symbolic, or is it more about practicality and logistics?

As a North West wedding celebrant, this is a conversation I have with couples all the time.

A date with emotional meaning

Some couples feel strongly about choosing a date that already holds a special place in their story. That might be the anniversary of when you first met, the date you became a couple, the day you got engaged, or a meaningful family date.

For these couples, the wedding date becomes another layer of storytelling. It is easy to remember and deeply personal.

From a celebrant point of view, dates like this often weave beautifully into a ceremony script, especially when telling your journey as a couple. As a North West wedding celebrant, I love helping couples honour those moments in a way that feels authentic and true to them.

Lucky numbers angel numbers and numerology

Other couples are drawn to dates with numerical significance.

This could be repeating numbers, angel numbers linked to love or abundance, or dates that add up to a number that feels meaningful to them.

There is something lovely about starting married life on a date that feels aligned intentional or lucky. Even couples who are not particularly spiritual often enjoy having a date that feels special or memorable.

If numerology or angel numbers matter to you, I can help you gently reference that meaning in your ceremony without it feeling forced or over explained. As a North West wedding celebrant, my job is always to reflect what matters to you and leave out what does not.

Or is it about convenience?

For some couples, the most important thing is not symbolism at all. It is about making life easier for their guests.

This is where bank holiday weekends and school holidays often come into play. Choosing a long weekend can mean less annual leave, easier travel, and a more relaxed feel overall.

There is absolutely no wrong reason to choose your wedding date. Practical does not mean less meaningful. What matters is that it works for your life your people and your priorities.

Wedding availability in 2026

If you are planning ahead, I am currently available for weddings in 2026 including both May bank holiday weekends and the Easter weekend.

Bank holiday weddings are incredibly popular, so if one of those dates feels right for you, it is worth getting in touch sooner rather than later.

Choosing the right date for you

Your wedding date does not have to follow any rules. It can be deeply sentimental numerologically meaningful convenient or simply the date that feels right when you say it out loud.

As a North West wedding celebrant, my role is to support your choices and create a ceremony that reflects them beautifully. Whether your date marks a milestone a lucky number or a long weekend, it deserves to be celebrated in a way that feels like you.

If you are planning a wedding in 2026 and want a ceremony that is personal inclusive and completely your own, I would love to hear from you.
