Planning a wedding, naming ceremony, vow renewal or celebration of life is such a personal journey so it’s only fair you get to know the person who could be standing beside you on one of the most meaningful days of your life. Hi, I’m Emma, a celebrant based in North West England and North Wales, and I thought I’d open the door and let you in on who I really am behind the scenes.
A Bit About Me
I’m in my mid 40s and I live with my wonderful partner Karl, who’s been my rock and biggest supporter for the past five years. He’s the one cheering me on as I pursue this heartfelt career as a celebrant and trust me, he’s heard a lot of me rehearsing!
I’ve always loved the simple, joyful things in life, a great outfit, a delicious meal, a book I can’t put down. I’m a self confessed fashion lover (getting dressed is a little ritual of self-expression I enjoy every day), and I feel my best when I’m active, whether that’s at the gym or out for a walk in the fresh air.
And yes, I absolutely love reality TV. Married At First Sight and Love Is Blind are my guilty pleasures. What can I say? Watching people fall in and out of love, the drama, the emotion, the realness, it reminds me why I care so deeply about the stories we all carry.
Why I Chose to Become a Celebrant
I’m putting everything into building a celebrant practice that’s grounded in warmth, creativity, and connection.
For me, it’s all about the people. I love hearing about your lives, your loves, your losses and your big moments. Every story is unique, and I see it as my role to honour that story and shape it into a ceremony that truly reflects you.
Whether it’s a joyful wedding in the Lake District, a gender-affirming naming ceremony in Chester, or a heartfelt celebration of life on the coast of North Wales, I’m here to listen, guide, and create something unforgettable.
